We have immediate openings for a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant(SLPA)

Responsibilities of a SLPA :

  • Participate in staff meetings and IEP's
  • Adherence to the Code of Ethics of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Knowledge and skills in the areas of: articulation/phonology, fluency, voice/resonance, receptive and expressive language, literacy, social aspects (pragmatics), cognitive aspects, multiculturalism, augmentative/alternative communication, behavior, hearing, swallowing as they pertain to students between the ages of 3 and 21 in the public schools.
Requirements of the SLPA:
  • Graduate from a Speech Pathology program (Master's Degree)
  • DESE (Department of Elementary and Secondary Education) license
  • Strong knowledge of Assistive Augmentative Communication AAC) devices and assessment
  • Ability to support non-verbal students or students requiring communication assistance
  • Passing score on the national certification exam
Annual Pay Range:  $85,000.00 to $125,000
Shift: 7:00 - 2:30 PM (1st shift)
