Production Planning Specialist

Production Planning Specialist Pay: $60,000 – $75,000 per year 

Use Lenco’s planning software to create work orders and job travelers that support efficient production. Spend time on the manufacturing floor distributing work orders and assisting production teams with inquiries or necessary changes.

Responsibilities

• Create, release, and maintain production-ready work orders using ERP systems to support manufacturing schedules.

• Manage work order updates, re-explosions, and approvals to ensure timely release to production.

• Maintain and refine bills of material to ensure accurate allocation of purchased and manufactured components.

• Coordinate with Purchasing, Engineering, and Production to resolve material shortages, missing allocations, or data issues.

• Support special projects by ensuring required materials are ordered and identifying potential production roadblocks.

• Spend time on the manufacturing floor distributing work orders and assisting production teams with questions or adjustments.

• Identify and communicate customer-specific instructions required for shipping and order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in planning or production support.

• Working knowledge of ERP systems, work orders, and bills of material (BOMs).

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, file management, and PDF creation.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• High attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.

• Basic math skills and the ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, or schematics.
