Summit Careers Direct Hire Team is recruiting a Production Control Manager to oversee material flow, inventory planning, and scheduling from raw materials through finished goods in a dynamic manufacturing setting. This role is critical to driving operational efficiency, ensuring on-time delivery, and aligning production activities with business goals.
You’ll be responsible for transforming our inventory management systems, leading scheduling coordination, and working hands-on with cross-functional teams to eliminate bottlenecks and ensure seamless daily execution. This position reports directly to the General Manager and plays a key leadership role in operations strategy.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the transition from manual inventory processes to a fully integrated ERP-based system, including change management across departments.

Plan and manage raw material and work-in-process inventory levels to support consistent production flow.

Issue and manage purchase orders for key raw materials and resale items in partnership with purchasing.

Monitor and coordinate daily production activities to meet internal schedules and customer delivery expectations.

Collaborate with the Production Manager to ensure timely order fulfillment, production readiness, and inventory alignment.

Generate production reports, analyze delivery performance, and contribute to KPI tracking and operational improvement.

Support physical inventory efforts and ensure data accuracy within the ERP system.
Qualifications:

5+ years’ experience in production control, materials management, or inventory planning within a manufacturing environment.

Strong ERP system proficiency and proven experience implementing or improving production scheduling systems.

Excellent communication and coordination skills with production, procurement, and administrative teams.

Skilled in Excel, data analysis, and workflow optimization.

Strong organizational habits, a bias for action, and the ability to influence process change.
Team Leadership:

Directly supervises 1–2 administrative or support employees.

May oversee aspects of payroll, A/R, A/P, HR support, and customer service coordination as part of cross-functional oversight.
