Material Purchasing Agent

We are seeking a Materials Purchasing Agent. Please see the information below!

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase raw materials, tooling, and production supplies

• Monitor inventory levels to support continuous production

• Coordinate material availability with production schedules

• Communicate with shop floor personnel to identify material needs

• Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and on time

• Verify materials and certifications for compliance with requirements

• Resolve purchasing or material discrepancies with vendors

• Maintain organized purchasing and inventory records

Qualifications

• Previous experience in materials, purchasing, or manufacturing operations

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

• Effective communication skills with internal teams and suppliers

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and materials

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred

• High School Diploma or GED required
