Maintenance Mechanic

A leading global manufacturer and supplier of value-added components for the commercial roofing industry. The Division you will be in manufactures and markets innovative, premium quality wood-to-wood fasteners that are engineered to enable professional contractors to complete building projects safer, faster, and easier. The Maintenance Mechanic will support our manufacturing facility. This key position will perform scheduled and unscheduled mechanical updates and repairs on our fastener manufacturing equipment and suggest improvements that will increase productivity.
  Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on production and packaging equipment.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on the floor.

• Assist with machine setup, installations, rebuilds, and fabrication of custom parts.

• Recommend and implement improvements to reduce downtime and increase productivity.

• 2+ years of experience in industrial mechanical maintenance.

• Proficient in:

  • Troubleshooting and mechanical repair

  • Basic welding and cutting procedures

  • Hydraulic systems

  • Shop equipment setup and operation

  • Use of machinist measurement tools

• Ability to read schematics and perform preventative maintenance with precision.

• Strong time management, safety focus, and commitment to reliability.

• Industrial forklift certification.

• Working knowledge of controls/instrumentation and basic PC skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in high-noise, high-temperature environments.

• Comfortable with ladders, confined spaces, and prolonged standing.
