Salary:
The
Electrician is responsible for supporting the electrical projects that impact our facilities, as well as providing machine maintenance that involves electrical adjustments.
Position Responsibilities
- Promote Safety as the Number One priority of all employees.
- Provide support on scheduled electrical projects and daily work to achieve maintenance goals.
- Recommend improvements to equipment and processes as necessary.
- Monitor equipment usage and make recommendations to reduce spending.
- Develop and maintain an expectation of quality as an essential element of project success.
- Evaluate and compare various control and power alternatives and help Maintenance Supervisor to select the best solution using technical, economic, reliability, and maintainability criteria.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Journeyman Electrician license preferred.
- 5 years’ experience working with all appropriate hand tools and electrical testing equipment.
- Sound working knowledge of PLC, AC and DC drives.
- Demonstrated record of compliance with company policy, including time and attendance.
- Good written and verbal communication and basic math skills.
- Ability to solve practical problems and prioritize workloads.
- Positive “can do” attitude.
- Ability to work in high-noise areas and wear appropriate hearing protection devices.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle while maintaining focus on safe driving and avoiding all distractions when behind the wheel, especially cell phones.
- Manual material handling involving the need to grip, squeeze, and pinch.
- Ability to work in an elevated ambient temperature environment.
- Ability to utilize stepladders, extension, and fixed ladders.
- The position requires the ability to regularly stand.
- Ability to work at elevated work heights, mezzanines, roofs, decks, and/or mobile working platforms.
- The position requires good close vision and depth perception skills.
- Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and occasionally lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds.
