1st Shift Trunkline Operator

We have an immediate opening for a Trunkline Operator:

Job Description:

• Operate the Trunk Line machine to produce trunk duct used in long stretches of the main HVAC system.

• Use the computerized system to program production jobs.

• Monitor product quality throughout the production process.

• Perform minor mechanical adjustments and setting changes on the machine.

• Oversee the full production process, including uncoiling steel, cutting to size, forming bends, and staging product for banding.

• Band finished trunk duct and apply two additional clips and locks to each piece.

• Safely move completed products (not exceeding 50 lbs) from the table to a transport cart.

• Cross-train and assist in other areas within the blanking department as needed.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work independently and ensure quality standards are met.

• Comfortable with physical tasks including lifting and moving up to 50 lbs.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment preferred.

• Willingness to learn and cross-train on other equipment and processes.

• Operate and program the Trunk Line machine to cut, bend, and form ductwork.

• Ensure quality and make basic mechanical adjustments as needed.

• Safely handle and stage finished products up to 50 lbs.

• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and meet quality standards.

• Comfortable with physical labor; prior manufacturing experience a plus.
